The most important thing in buying the right bat is lengthand weight. This will all depend on your height and strength and can alsotheleagueyouarein.
Sizes:
AdultThemostgemonbatfortheplayers in highschool and college is -3 size. This size isBESR certified and meets highschool and college standards.-3 bats range anywhere from 31 to 34 in.and 28 to 31oz.
Senior Leaguethe next size down is senior league which is approved forLittle League, Babe Ruth League and Pony League. These bats range from -5 to -9and will be anywhere from 27 to 32 inches. These bats do not meet college or highschool standards.
Youth Once you grow out of your tee-ball bat the next size up is youth bats. These bats range from -10 to -13. The length of the bat is anywhere from 27 to 32 inches. These bats have a smaller barrel than Adult and Senior Leaguewhich makes them much lighter.
Before purchasing a bat you should check your league rules to see if it is legal.


Gloves
There is three types of gloves. There is infield, outfield, and utility gloves. Utility gloves can be used for both infield and outfield.
Infeild gloves Infeild gloves for highschool to adult players are usually 10 1/2 to 11 1/2 in. For ages below highschool and above 8 infield gloves are usually 9-10 in. For kids under 8 itisusually about 9 inches.
Outfield gloves Outfield gloves for highschool to adult players is usually 12 to 12 1/2 in. For kidsbelow highschool and above 8 it is usually 11-12 in. Outfield gloves for kids under it is about 11 in.
