I need some help getting into the modeling career in portland oregon?

Any tips? i am inexperienced but i am really interested in getting started. What should i do?|||Oh yes, every little girls dream, but it;s not easy as it seems, it is hard work.Also there are many levels of being a model, assuming you fit the profile, cute, young, pretty and mostly slim.First it;s going to cost you money, unless some agency sees something in you they can sell to an advertiser. You will need a portfolio of photographs of yourself, head shots and body shots, in various outfits, and poses. Usually you will need to have this done professionally, and they do charge quite a bit of money. If you are just looking to be one of those girls, who model clothing in say Target or Kohls Sunday fliers, or Newspaper Ads, then you stand a better chance. If you are looking to be on some big magazine cover like Vogue, forget it, you stand a better chance of being hit my lightning,But if you want to try it, then get your photo lay outs, and check to see if your town has a model agency, if they don;t, it means, you will have to move to a big City, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Dallas, even. But it;s a cut throat business and a very short lived one.If that;s your dream, be prepared to spend the time and money, and hope it will be a good investment,
